In the annals of history, the year 1609 stands as a pivotal chapter in the exploration and colonization of the New World. It was during this time that a band of intrepid English adventurers embarked on a perilous voyage across the Atlantic, destined to shape the course of events on the shores of North America.

Led by the enigmatic Captain John Smith, this group of approximately 120 men and boys set sail from England in late December 1606 aboard three small ships: the Susan Constant, the Godspeed, and the Discovery. Their mission was to establish a permanent settlement in Virginia, a vast and uncharted territory stretching along the Atlantic coast.
